- Create, foster and drive the client relationship and the brand within Moxie. Through these vital relationships, the agency will always have a solid pulse on what clients are thinking and want at all times and how we can push the work.
Relationships are at the heart of agency work. Often, clients don't just buy from an agency because of their work - they also buy because of the people who do the work. The ability to quickly and confidently build rapport is key in this business. Maintaining and nurturing that relationship is just as important as delivering on time and on budget. I enjoy relationships that challenge me to be bigger, better, faster and more than I am. By the way, that was a pretty great album, too. I'm risible, urbane in deportment, and courteous in expression.
- Ideas and decks are essential to our work with our clients relationships- have the ability to identify what is important to our client so continuously drive our efforts ahead.
When one treats a client-agency relationship as if it were a relationship between two dear friends, identifying and understanding what is important comes naturally, consultative selling becomes commonplace, and the clients begins to approach you with problems to solve rather than programs to activate. - Thought leadership…be an effective communicator and know how to to uncover brilliant ideas and spread them like wild fire within the agency and to a client.
There is always a way to do something better. Faster. Cleverer. That is what I continually look to uncover - a better way. Once we find that way and operationalize it, we have moved the whole team to a new level. I love ideas. They come from everywhere and nowhere. They surprise and delight. And they aren't common. I want to surround myself with other people who love ideas - and making them reality. Take a look at some of the amazing ideas I have brought to life on this page.
Skill Set:
- Leadership- the ability to have others follow guidance with enthusiasm and vigor.
It is hard to sound humble in any job application, but this line is the toughest, so bear with me. I believe I am an authentic leader. I believe leadership is about earning the right to lead others. It takes effort, skill, the ability to hear and be heard, a little luck and the right amount of moxie (I couldn't help myself). I think if you asked any of my former managers, peers or reports, they would all agree - this comes naturally for me, and many are anxious to see where I will take them. - Great communicator- the ability to ensure the team knows what to do and when.
I believe clarity is the most critical part of communication. Choosing the right words at the right time make a difference. My training as a sign language interpreter helps me take complex ideas, break them down into their component parts and re-imagine them for others in a way they will best understand. Also, brevity is the soul of wit - why not communications, too. - Multi-Tasker- can move on a dime balancing projects and deadlines naturally, seamlessly and effortlessly.
The key to successfully managing competing priorities and ever-approaching deadlines it the ability to step back and understand the whole picture. I'm agile - more mentally than physically (just watch me in step class if you need proof). At First Data my team lead development and execution of numerous projects for our employees and customers around the world. - Non-linear thinker- be outside the box. This is vital to being in tuned with today’s endless possibilities for brands, clients and consumers.
This is my superpower. If you combine this with the last one - Problem Solver - you have my two favorite activities combined in one. I am a heretic. Leaving religion out of the conversation, I don't hold the same beliefs as everyone about how and why we do things. I also love budget constraints because they make me flex my mental muscle even more to find creative and cost-effective ways to surprise and delight. - Boundless energy that is infectious to others. Be excited, motivating, and driven.
Yep. This should sum it up. - Problem Solver- identify potential obstacles/problems and take them on straight away without delay. Find new and creative ways to solve problems.
Much like my answer two above this one, I thrive in a situation where I am able to combine my creative thinking and problem solving. They are like salt and pepper - when someone asks you to pass one, you really need

I'm a technology evangelist. I'm the first to adopt - often paying the nerd tax - and the go-to guy when friends, family and co-workers are looking for help selecting and using tech. While I'm not a coding wiz, I know enough to get in trouble and help others stay out of it. See some of my work here. - Mix of agency-side and client-side experience.
Got it! I've worked for both agencies and in corporations. More important, though, is I managed agencies and vendors while on the corporate side, so I understand the nuances of the relationship. While I enjoyed my time at First Data, I am looking for a place where I can stretch my mental muscle, utilize my creative thinking, and solve problems. To me, that means it's time to go back to an agency. - Web and Social Media experience.
See above - I love the web, and I'm pretty social. Check out the links above. - Cross-functional experience (media, creative, technology, mobile, social, finance).
Cross this one off, too. While not as deep in media and finance as the others, I do know my way around a spreadsheet.
Also, I'm clever, curious, contrary, passionate, hard-working, and a blast at karaoke - in case any of that matters.
Well, there you have it. I think I'm a pretty good fit. I wouldn't have spent the extra time to make this if I didn't think you and I can make magic together. If you think I can help you surprise and delight your clients, hit me up at [email protected], and let's talk. I look forward to an engaging conversation.
