- I worked in an agency setting with Manning, Selvage & Lee, and I served in this role for clients ranging from healthcare to pharmaceuticals to consumer packaged goods and financial services. At First Data, our team operated as an agency within the corporate environment.
- In both environments, I utilized traditional, social, and digital media to engage employees and consumers with the corporate brand, change management programs, and social initiatives across continents.

- Managing expectations is one thing; delivering against - and above - them is another. I don't believe in delivering anything but my best (with a bonus that will surprise and delight along the way).
- I have managed expectations up, down left, right and sideways while continually delivering on time and on/under budget. You can see some of my work here and here. I prefer to think I create magic. The folks at the TOUR Championship said I "redefined the face of golf hospitality" as a part of our sponsorship of their event.
- Regular reviews - both internal and with the client - are critical to staying on time, on budget, and in the client's good graces.
- I've managed budgets from $1,000 to $2,000,000. The key is to treat the client's money as if it was my own. I always act as a good steward of their money and my time, alerting the client of changes or unforeseen circumstances that may impact our ability to deliver on time and on budget.
- I have built incentive programs from the ground up to motivate all types of employees from around the globe. I have had terrific and terrible mentors - each teaching me something, and molding my leadership style. I prefer to teach how to fish, rather than fishing on my own.

- I grouped these two items together because they are so similar. I believe knowing your client and their business is not enough. One has to know their industry, their competition and the market forces impacting their business. I am curious and clever - a combination that makes me an excellent strategist. Another way to surprise and delight is to bring insights and out-of-the-box thinking that your client is incapable of doing on their own, in their environment.

- Until the network went bankrupt, I hosted a live, 90-minute talk show five days a week for 7 months. If I can handle Janice Dickenson, Margaret Cho, Leslie Jordan, Andy Bell and many more, I can nail a client presentation. Invite me in for an interview, and I'll prove it.
- I am at my best when I am leading a group of creative and strategic thinkers. Redefining amazing is something I strive to do on a daily basis. Yesterday already happened, and tomorrow is right around the corner - what is after that? And how can we do better? There is something uniquely invigorating about a brainstorm session. If execution is a dinner, then brainstorming is the dessert.
- Working for both agencies and corporations, I've been on both sides of the table in negotiations and these agreements. I believe the key is being fair and honest, while allowing both sides to feel they have won. Also, knowing, understanding, and executing against agreed-upon terms is critical to build a long-lasting relationship.
- At an agency, you are always hunting. I enjoy networking, and I always have an ear out for an opportunity to make connections. Often those connections aren't an immediate business opportunity, but cultivating a relationship will always pay off in the end.
- I am enthralled by technology, and I am early adopter. I think that is a lucky passion. I could like model boats, or ancient texts. Instead, I like to know what is coming next. That knowledge is uniquely applicable to digital strategy, and positions me/us as a thought leader.
I'm also clever, curious, contrary, passionate, hard-working, and a blast at karaoke - in case any of that matters.
